Nurse Educators and CEUs

Some of the mandates imposed upon nurses in Intervention (Diversion) and Enforcement (Probation) are ongoing education chosen by the BRN. The list of required classes is provided by the BRN in the Board’s legal decision.  In addition to those stated in the Decision, the Board may require other classes.  Many of the courses are online and provided through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). It is the nurse’s responsibility to locate the classes that are not provided by NCSBN. Some classes are required to be taken in a classroom setting.  All educational costs are the nurse’s responsibility. Here is a list of Nurse Educators who provide CEUs. Many of these classes, but not all, have been approved by BRN Diversion and Probation. Contact your monitor prior to taking any class to ensure it will meet Board requirements. These classes are difficult to find. Please share any resources you have that are approved by the Board.
